Masai Mara Game Reserve Camp.

Duma Safari Camp
is a ten bed, private tented camp consisting of five spacious Meru
style tents with en suite bathrooms. The central dining area is
under canvas and offers a view over the open plains a waterhole and
salt lick.
Weather permitting dinners are often
served al fresco under a canopy of stars, next to an open fire.
There is no online electricity or
noisy generator in camp, although solar powered lighting has been
installed in all the tents. Paraffin lamps light the way around camp
after dark. Hot water for showers is provided on demand.
The camp is unfenced but Maasai
askaris guard the perimeter against possible dangerous game that
could wander through.
Duma Safari Camp is owner managed by Kenya based Jennifer Ratcliff
and her Maasai team. An internationally trained chef provides
gourmet meals whether taken in camp or on picnics in the vastness of
the open plains.

Masai Mara in Kenya stretches out over a flat grassy plain and is
most famous for its annual migration of millions of wildebeest.

Photographic opportunities are endless. Many species of wildlife
are comfortable by the game viewing vehicles and come up close for the
perfect picture. Hot Air Ballooning is a very popular activity in the
Mara and is a great way to see the wildlife and landscape. Drink
champagne afterwards to celebrate a successful flight while your
breakfast is cooked at the landing area.
A visit to a hospitable Maasai village gives your Masai Mara safari
a cultural edge. The Maasai live a traditional way of life in a
'Manyatta', living in simple mud covered straw huts. With over 500
species of bird life and open scenery the Masai Mara should definitely
form part of your Kenyan safari.
